Job Description

Oversee drilling operations to ensure they adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, minimizing risks while maximizing efficiency.
Lead and manage drilling crews, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
Monitor drilling performance in real-time, making adjustments to techniques and equipment as necessary to maintain productivity.
Conduct regular safety meetings, ensuring all team members are informed of potential hazards and emergency response procedures.
Evaluate equipment and technology for drilling operations, recommending upgrades or changes to improve efficiency and safety.
Analyze post-drilling data to assess outcomes and inform future drilling strategies, continually improving operational practices.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality services and materials are delivered as per project timelines.
Manage inventory and logistics for drilling supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available on site and in good condition.
Prepare detailed reports on drilling progress, incidents, and performance metrics for stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with geologists and engineers to develop and implement drilling plans that optimize resource extraction.

Certifications such as IWCF (International Well Control Forum) or IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) are crucial for ensuring safety and compliance.
Proficiency in drilling software and technologies, including real-time monitoring systems, enhances operational efficiency.
Strong leadership skills are necessary to inspire and manage drilling teams effectively and maintain high morale.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address drilling challenges swiftly.
A commitment to safety and environmental standards is essential, reflecting the industry’s ethical obligations.
Excellent communication skills in English are required, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
