Job Description

Oversee and maintain the critical infrastructure systems within the data center, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and generators to ensure continuous operation.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all facility equipment, such as HVAC systems, chillers, and fire suppression systems, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Monitor and analyze environmental conditions within the data center, including temperature, humidity, and airflow, to maintain optimal operating conditions for IT equipment.
Respond to and resolve facility-related incidents and emergencies, including power outages, cooling failures, and fire alarms, with swift and decisive action.
Manage and coordinate vendor activities, including contractors and service providers, to ensure compliance with data center standards and procedures.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for facility operations and maintenance to improve efficiency and reliability.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the data center facility to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Manage and track facility-related budgets, expenses, and inventory to maintain cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Participate in the design and construction of new data center infrastructure, providing technical expertise and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
Collaborate with IT and operations teams to understand their needs and provide facility support to meet their service level agreements (SLAs).

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Electrical, Mechanical)

Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS) or Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP), demonstrating a commitment to industry standards.
Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in data center facilities engineering, showcasing practical knowledge of data center operations.
Has a proven track record of experience in mission-critical facilities, highlighting the ability to handle high-stakes situations.
Exhibits proficiency in critical infrastructure systems, including UPS, generators, and HVAC systems, ensuring operational reliability.
Displays strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Exhibits a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
Possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.
