Basic Function
Primarily a field-based position, the field engineer will oversee the operation of downhole extended reach coiled tubing tools, at both onshore and offshore well-sites. The field engineer will be responsible for pre-job and post-job tasks at the workshop including refurbishment, inspection, assembly and preparation of down-hole tools. The field engineer will also be responsible for assisting in office-based tasks, such as running coil tubing software simulations, assisting in writing operating procedures and attending client meetings. International travel required.
Responsibilities
· Complete well site rig up, ensuring correct torquing and assembly procedures are followed at the well-site.
· Oversee and provide technical support for the operation of downhole coiled tubing tools, specializing in extended reach CT tractors.
· Interface effectively with CT Supervisor, CT crew, Well Site Foreman, and other tool specialists on extended reach CT operations. Effectively answer client questions concerning operating parameters, dimensions, and product lines.
· Review schematics, tool programs, and operator well completion diagrams.
· Refurbish, inspect, assemble and test downhole tools at WWT shop prior to wellsite mobilization
· Track and report accurate information. Complete Ops Logs, Refurbishment Reports and maintain inventory required for job.
· Work in all types of environments, onshore and offshore.
· Follow safe work practices and promote HSE culture throughout the workplace.
· Assist in coiled tubing job design, technical support, post job analysis, reports and presentations as needed.
· Support engineering projects with pre-job testing, technical job planning, job delivery in the field, and post job analysis. Throughout the process it will be required to liaise with engineering department.
· Assist with other ad hoc tasks as requested

Experience / Education
· Bachelor of Engineering Degree required. Mechanical is preferred, Petroleum, Chemical, or other related disciplines will be considered.
· 3 to 5 year experience as a Coil Tubing Field Engineer
