Job Description
SaudConsult is currently seeking a Fire Fighting Design Engineer with proven experience in the Building, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Infrastructure sectors.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to prestigious projects across the Kingdom under a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed engineering design and calculations for fire protection systems such as fire water networks, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reel systems, and foam systems.
• Develop Fire Protection System P&IDs, Layouts, Equipment Sizing, and Hydraulic Calculations.
• Select fire pumps, valves, fittings, and other system components in compliance with NFPA and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Design fire suppression systems including foam, CO₂, FM200, NOVEC , clean agent systems , automatic sprinkler fire protection system including smoke Evacuation system management.
• Perform water demand analysis, pressure drop calculations, and hydraulic modeling.
• Can Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC) to ensure proper interface and integration.
• Review and verify vendor drawings, equipment data sheets, and material submittals.
• Participate in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Engineering stages.
• Provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Preferred Skills:
• Strong understanding of fire protection design principles and NFPA standards.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco and SABIC project requirements.
• Proficiency in Fire Fighting Hydraulic Calculation software (e.g., Elite Fire, Pipe Flow Expert, AutoSPRINK, or similar).
• Ability to prepare high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for multidisciplinary team environments.
NFPS certified is on advantage but not necessary required.
