Job Description

Prepare and review mechanical pre-commissioning procedures, method statements, and schedules for static and rotating equipment.
Plan and coordinate pre-commissioning activities like hydrotesting, air blowing, lube oil flushing, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, leak testing, and drying.
Perform mechanical walk-downs, punch listing, and ensure systems are ready for commissioning.
Supervise subcontractors and ensure mechanical systems are flushed, cleaned, tested, and preserved per project specifications.
Verify mechanical completion and pre-commissioning check sheets, assist in system handover processes.
Conduct pre-commissioning activities of pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, boilers, piping systems, and pressure vessels.
Monitor the pre-commissioning KPIs and ensure work is progressing safely and according to schedule.
Coordinate closely with QA/QC, HSE, commissioning, construction, and operations teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical pre-commissioning issues onsite.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with project HSE plans and safe work practices.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and final pre-commissioning progress reports.
Desired Candidate Profile

Any Nationality

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Mechanical)

Any

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
8-12 years’ experience in mechanical pre-commissioning roles, especially in power plants, oil & gas, hydrogen, or gas processing plants.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.) and pre-commissioning methodologies.
Hands-on experience in lube oil flushing, hydrotesting, air/steam blowing, chemical cleaning, nitrogen purging, etc.
Familiar with system handover processes (MC, RFC, RFSU).
Good understanding of P&IDs, isometrics, mechanical datasheets, and system boundaries.
Proficient in using MS Office, pre-commissioning software/tools, and reporting systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Willingness to work on remote project sites under rotation or extended hours, as required.
