Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Islamic Teacher for the Primary Years at our international school in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Islamic studies, Qur’an recitation (Tajweed), and Islamic values, combined with strong pedagogical skills to engage young learners in a diverse and multicultural school environment.

Presenting as a professional and committed staff member, in accordance with the handbook of EH teaching staffs rules and regulations
Establishing an effective and responsive classroom environment where children are active participants
Support the positive development of children’s social competencies
Assisting in morning duty and school duty
Building and maintain positive relationships with families
Formal accountability to parents through written reports and parent consultations
Informal accountability to parents through frequent verbal communication (phone or in person) and at times communication via emails and the communication books
Maintenance of materials, resources, and equipment in classroom
Professional documentation and display of children’s work
Establishment and maintenance of positive classroom relationships where all members of the class are respected and valued
Assist in the smooth planning and operation of school functions such as Sport’s Day, school performances, Graduation celebrations and cultural celebration activities
Work as an active and participatory team member
Attend staff meetings
Engage in active on-going professional development
Deliver high-quality Islamic Studies lessons in alignment with the school’s curriculum and Saudi Ministry of Education requirements.
Teach students Qur’an recitation and memorization with proper Tajweed rules.
Integrate Islamic values and character education into daily teaching and activities.
Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
Foster a love for Islam and encourage moral and ethical development in students.
Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment that supports students from diverse backgrounds.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing feedback and support for individual learning needs.
Desired Candidate Profile

Jordanian, Syrian

Bachelor of Education(Education, Religious Education), Bachelor of Arts(Religion)

Any

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching Islamic Studies at the primary level, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong knowledge of Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history with the ability to explain concepts in an engaging manner.
Proficiency in Tajweed and ability to teach Qur’anic memorization.
Fluent in Arabic and English (bilingual ability preferred).
Familiarity with international curricula is an advantage.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire young learners with creative teaching methods.
