Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and update mechanical BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD MEP.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless model integration and clash-free designs.
Review and implement project BIM execution plans and adhere to modeling standards for mechanical systems.
Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, HVAC layouts, pipe networks, and equipment schedules from BIM models.
Conduct clash detection, lead/participate in coordination meetings, and resolve design issues.
Assist in preparing as-built models and final project documentation.
Maintain model quality, accuracy, and compliance with project and client requirements.
Provide support and guidance to junior BIM staff on mechanical modeling practices.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in mechanical BIM coordination on medium to large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of BIM software (Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, etc.).
Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical system design standards.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Diploma(Architecture, Civil), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Architecture

Preferred:

Certification in BIM management or advanced Revit MEP skills.
Experience in clash detection and BIM execution planning.
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient mechanical systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Accuracy and completeness of mechanical BIM models.
Number of clashes detected and resolved before construction.
Timely delivery of mechanical drawings and documentation per project schedule.
Compliance with BIM standards and client requirements.
Effective coordination with other trades (electrical, structural, architectural).
Reduction of rework or errors due to model inaccuracy.
Mentorship and support of junior BIM staff.
Note:
We prefer candidates who are currently in KSA with a valid IQAMA (preferred freelance status), available for a 4–6 month extendable contract, with the project located in Riyadh and able to join immediately.
