Nurse Educator

Job Description

The Nurse Educator will participate actively in the standardization of the delivery of nursing education activities in his/her institution. This is a long transformational journey over several years. As such, a phased approach will be followed to ensure proper planning, preparation, and execution of all requirements.
Responsible for overall accountability and coordination of all programs within the assigned Units and to ensure that the assigned work is completed and communicated to the assistant chief nursing officer- education and training.
Leads and manages all aspects of a specific program of work and the assigned nurse educational staff within the Nurse Education, in support of the assistant chief nursing officer education and training and in collaboration as required with all staff across Nursing Services at the facility.
Leads and manage a team of Clinical resource nurses in a specific hospital, centre, unit, or work program within Nursing Education, assuring consistent standards in format and content, evidence base, and alignment of all educational programs with the needs of patients, the nursing professions, and services at the facility.
