Job Description
Provide expert anesthetic care for pediatric patients, encompassing a wide range of surgical procedures and age groups, from neonates to adolescents.
Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, assessing patient’s medical history, physical condition, and potential risks to formulate individualized anesthetic plans.
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients’ vital signs, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures, utilizing advanced monitoring techniques.
Manage acute and chronic pain in pediatric patients, employing multimodal analgesic strategies and regional anesthesia techniques to optimize post-operative recovery.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other specialists, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and ensuring seamless perioperative management.
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices for pediatric anesthesia.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pediatric anesthesia, including new drugs, techniques, and technologies, through continuous learning and research.
Respond to emergencies and critical situations, providing immediate and effective resuscitation and critical care support to pediatric patients.
Contribute to research and scholarly activities, publishing articles, presenting at conferences, and participating in clinical trials to advance the field.
Desired Candidate Profile
Any European National, Any Anglophone National, Canadian, American (US)
Doctor of Surgery (MS)(Anaesthesia), Doctor of Medicine (MD)(Anesthesiology)
Any
Holds board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology, with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
US Board/Canadianfellowship/DES/UK CCT/CESR/Irish/Facharzt(German), Spanish board or equivilant.
Dataflow and/or a valid medical license and registration to practice medicine Saudi Arabia is a plus.
Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of post-training experience in pediatric anesthesia, showcasing a broad range of clinical expertise.
Requires extensive experience in providing anesthesia for various pediatric surgical procedures including cardiac, neurosurgical, and transplant cases.
Exhibits strong technical skills in airway management, regional anesthesia, and advanced monitoring techniques.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Demonstrates proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with fluency in additional languages being advantageous.
