Role Summary

The Port Captain will oversee vessel readiness, optimize vessel discharge/load plan, ensure safe port operations, and coordinate closely with vessel crews, port authorities, and terminals.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate berthing, cargo handling, bunkering & crew changes.
Optimize vessel load/discharge plans by providing ideas to charterers for faster turnaround
Support Masters with port formalities and operational decisions.
Liaise with port authorities and various marine service providers.
Promote safety, efficiency, and cost control during port calls.
Monitor vessel performance, maintenance, and compliance (ISM/SOLAS/MARPOL).

Education and Experience:

Currently acting as Port Captain or Valid Certificate of Competency (Chief Mate / Master Mariner preferred) with expertise in Break Bulk cargoes handling.
Sailing experience on ocean-going vessels (BreakBulk and Bulk).
Strong understanding of port operations and maritime regulations.
Knowledge of Saudi Arabian ports is an added advantage
