Procurement Engineer – Heavy Equipment Rental Sector

Job Description

Manage the complete procurement cycle dedicated to the heavy equipment rental division.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with qualified suppliers for heavy machinery, vehicles, and transport equipment.
Build and maintain a trusted supplier network capable of serving major projects across Saudi Arabia, including oil & gas and Aramco projects.
Ensure availability and timely delivery of equipment required for company operations or re-rental to clients.
Assess supplier compliance with industry standards, certifications, and project-specific requirements (e.g., Aramco, SABIC, Royal Commission, etc.)
Coordinate with project, operations, and sales teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Maintain an updated database of pre-qualified suppliers and continuously expand vendor capabilities.
Desired Candidate Profile

Any Nationality

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration

Any

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within the heavy equipment rental sector in Saudi Arabia.
Proven experience dealing with qualified suppliers approved for major industrial and oil & gas projects (especially Aramco).
Strong technical knowledge of cranes, loaders, excavators, trucks, and related equipment.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.
