QC Engineer
Job Description
1. Inspection & Testing
Perform in-process and final inspection of MV/LV switchgear, control panels, RMUs, and substation assemblies.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per IEC/SASO standards and customer specifications.
Verify electrical functionality of components: circuit breakers, relays, CTs, PTs, and busbars.
2. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare inspection reports, test records, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Maintain traceability of materials and components used in assemblies.
Document and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Compliance & Quality Standards
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Participate in internal and external audits; support compliance to regulatory and customer requirements.
Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications before inspections.
4. Problem Solving & Improvement
Analyze quality issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagram.
Recommend and implement quality improvement measures in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
5. Team Collaboration
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and HSE teams to ensure smooth quality control processes.
Provide training or guidance to junior inspectors or production teams on quality practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in quality control of MV/LV switchgear, substation panels, or electrical assemblies.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of IEC/ANSI/SASO electrical standards.
Proficiency in using testing instruments (megger, hi-pot, multimeter, etc.).
Familiarity with SAP systems and QMS documentation.
Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work on-site in Al-Kharj.
Transferable Iqama preferred.
Arabic language is a plus but not mandatory.
