Job Description
Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute the sales strategy for road machinery products within the assigned region or territory.
Identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Set and achieve sales targets and manage sales forecasts and reporting to upper management.
Client Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and government agencies.
Conduct regular meetings and site visits to assess client needs, provide product demonstrations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the after-sales team to provide ongoing support and resolve any issues related to machinery performance.
Product Knowledge & Expertise
Maintain an in-depth understanding of road machinery products, including features, advantages, and applications.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients on equipment selection, usage, and maintenance.
Stay updated with industry advancements, new product launches, and technological improvements.
Sales Operations
Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, including contract negotiation, pricing, and payment terms.
Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations tailored to the customer’s specific project requirements.
Monitor and report on sales performance, ensuring that sales goals and KPIs are consistently met.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor a team of sales executives or representatives, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary product knowledge and sales skills.
Collaborate with the marketing department to design promotional campaigns and events for road machinery products.
Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of machinery.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
Continuously monitor the road construction equipment market, including customer needs, industry regulations, and emerging technologies.
Analyse competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to adjust sales tactics accordingly.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports detailing performance metrics, customer feedback, and market insights.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system
Work closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Operations, Parts, Service, HR, Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics, to ensure seamless coordination.
Undertake additional job roll-related tasks as necessary to support the companys mission and operations.
Carry out additional tasks as requested by management.
