Senior Estimation Engineer Electrical

Job Description

Lead and mentor a team of electrical estimators, providing technical guidance and ensuring accurate bid preparation.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive and competitive electrical cost estimates for complex projects.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems.
Identify and assess project risks, including potential cost overruns, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information, clarify project requirements, and ensure accurate bid submissions.
Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns, bid summaries, and proposals to clients, highlighting key cost drivers and value engineering opportunities.
Manage and maintain a database of vendor pricing, labor rates, and material costs to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates.
Review and evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications and identifying any potential discrepancies or omissions.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical estimating to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of bids.
Participate in post-bid analysis and project reviews to identify areas for improvement in the estimating process and learn from previous projects.

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering(Electrical)

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Possesses a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical estimation of high rise buildings, hotels, shopping mall, hospitals, villas and metro projects
Demonstrates a strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Exhibits exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrates strong leadership abilities, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of estimators.
Possesses excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience in value engineering and cost optimization strategies to enhance project profitability.
