Job Description

The purpose of this job to provide EH&S guideline to Turnaround planning team for TA scope definition

during planning phase. Coordination with TA Contractors and stakeholders to make them accountable

for EH&S compliance, trainings and industrial hygiene instructions to be followed during Pre-TA

activities, execution phase and post TA activities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist planning team with Turnaround scope definition to be in line with EH&S compliance.

• Coordinate site training plans on all applicable training programs for employee orientations, EH&S

trainings for new employees, temporary employees, and TA contractors. Also, maintain training

records for all TA contractor personnel.

• Review EH&S plans and JSA’s submitted by TA contractors to be in line with company EH&S plan.

• Conduct regular job site safety / health inspections and Job Safety Analysis.

• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices to ensure compliance with

safety standards and governmental regulations.

• Intervene in activities that pose threats to workers’ health and safety or environment and provide

necessary guideline to ensure that effective EH&S practices are implemented effectively.

• Participate to investigate accidents and near-misses to identify causes to determine root cause and

identify prevention measures & prepare incident and various EH&S related metric reports.

• Maintain current working knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulation affecting the

workplace and keeps Manager and others regularly informed.

• Responsible for developing and promoting safety culture within the TA team for a positive approach

ensuring worker health and safety and good environment.

• Practice safe work techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines and procedures during

Turnaround as set out by the company.

• Conduct on the spot EH&S trainings during execution.

• Participate as key stakeholder in EH&S meetings

• Participate in recognition programs.

• Develop programs and topics to enhance safety culture and reward to positive contributors.

• Work closely with EH&S compliance team to implement EH&S instructions, industrial hygiene

awareness and workplace ergonomic/fatigue program.

• Prepare and conduct daily EH&S Toolbox Talks and awareness programs

• Inspect all necessary safety PPE’s & equipment and coordinate reasonable inventory at site during

TA execution.

• Participate in site walkthrough with Management during Pre-, Post- and execution phase.

• Participate in MOC process for any facility changes during TA with potential EH&S impacts.

• Interview Contractors EH&S personnel for assessment of TA suitability.

• Review permits and review the adherence to permits Perform any job-related activities as

requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Education:

• Technical/Vocation or Associate Degree.

Certificates:

• Acceptable and valid health certificate.

• Any Job related professional certificates. (OSHA, preferred NEBOSH certified).

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years as Maintenance/Turnaround EH&S Coordinator

• Minimum 1 full cycle of major TA’s as full fulltime TA EH&S Coordinator.

Skills:

• Excellent English communication skills. (orally and written).

• Excellent Urdu communication skills. (orally and written).

• Excellent understanding of EH&S standards, rules and regulations.

• Basic computer skills: Email & MS-office
