Job Description
Fabrication & Welding
Perform welding operations based on approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) for structural steel and piping components.
Interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and instructions to carry out precise work.
Carry out full penetration, fillet, groove, and socket welds on various positions (1G–6G, 1F–6F) as required.
Material Handling & Preparation
Check and verify materials and dimensions prior to welding.
Perform fit-up and tack welding as per drawing and fit-up tolerance requirements.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces using grinders, wire brushes, or other tools.
Site Work & Installation Support
Carry out welding tasks at construction/project sites, including pipeline tie-ins, structural erection, and repair welding.
Follow safety protocols and permit-to-work (PTW) systems during hot work activities.
Support installation, alignment, and adjustment of welded components on-site.
Quality & Compliance
Work in accordance with welding procedure specifications (WPS) and relevant international standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO).
Ensure weld joints are free from spatter, undercut, porosity, or other unacceptable defects.
Cooperate with QC inspectors for weld visual inspection, NDT (RT, PT, MT), and dimensional checks.
Carry out rework or repairs as per NCR/inspection feedback.
Maintenance & Safety
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
Follow proper PPE usage, safe lifting practices, and housekeeping standards.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor or safety officer immediately.

Secondary School(Technical, Vocational), Diploma(Welding Technology)
Male
Qualifications & Certifications:
High School / Technical Diploma or equivalent.
Certified Welder with valid certification (e.g., 3G/4G/6G in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, or combination).
Experience with structural steel, pipe welding, and fabrication.
Knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ISO 9606).
Familiarity with both workshop and on-site working environments.
Skills & Attributes:
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and WPS.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to HSE procedures.
Flexibility to work shifts and travel to project sites when required.
Good physical fitness for handling welding tasks in various positions and conditions.
