Roles and Responsibilities
Achieves IT staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating work results, as well as training, mentoring, and disciplining employees. This includes initiating, coordinating, and implementing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees while ensuring a safe and secure work environment and promoting opportunities for personal growth.
Ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for IT implementation.
Oversees technology research by analyzing the organization’s goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Completes projects by coordinating resources and schedules with user departments and the data center.
Verifies application results by auditing the system for implemented technologies.
Protects assets by establishing disaster recovery and backup procedures, as well as implementing robust information security and control structures.
Recommends IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization results, identifying problems, analyzing trends, and anticipating future requirements.
Achieves financial goals by anticipating needs, preparing an annual budget, managing expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
Maintains quality service by setting and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; comparing current practices; and participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team efforts by achieving relevant results as needed.
