Roles and Responsibilities
Job Summary
The position will perform repairs on pumps and rotating equipment, installation and commissioning activities on pumps and associated equipment, fault finding, system diagnostics and repairs.
· Working with pumps, valves and rotating equipment associated with the oil and gas, power generation, water desalination and wastewater treatment industries.
Detailed description
· Carry out disassembly and assembly activities on various types of rotating equipment and valves in the workshop,
· Conduct detailed dimensional inspection of components and complete all relevant shop log sheets,
· Conducting stress testing activities,
· Conducting NDT activities within the company,
· Work independently with minimal supervision,
· Act as a team leader in the workshop and on site when needed.
· Perform fault finding, failure diagnosis, disassembly and assembly activities on all types of rotating equipment at customer sites,
· Installation and commissioning of all types of rotating equipment at customer sites,
· Compile detailed and comprehensive reports on the site.
· Follow all safety, environmental and occupational health regulations.
· Maintain a clean work environment and follow all quality regulations.
Required profile for candidates
Any citizen of an English speaking country, any nationality
Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Mechanical)

· Proven mechanical skills required including the ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
· Knowledge of pump maintenance and operation is required.
· Must be able to assess and resolve a variety of situations. Willing to coach self-motivated individuals.
· Must be punctual, have good organizational skills, be able to manage time and priorities and be able to multitask.
· Proven problem-solving skills
· Familiarity with tools, equipment and workshop environment
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and stay focused and organized.
· Ready for promotion and leadership positions
