Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement safety policies tailored to specific site conditions and regulations, to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits, identify hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide ongoing safety training and workshops for all employees, and promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into the planning and execution phases of projects.
Investigate accidents and near-accidents to determine root causes, document findings and recommend systemic changes to improve safety protocols.
Communicate with regulatory bodies and external auditors during safety inspections, and ensure all necessary documentation and records are maintained for compliance.
Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure all employees are prepared for potential incidents.
Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and successful initiatives.
Support the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure it is used correctly across the site through regular checks and training.
Stay informed of industry trends and safety regulations to continually improve on-site safety programs and ensure best practices are followed.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential.
Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent is strongly preferred to demonstrate experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in safety management, preferably in construction or manufacturing environments.
Experience with OSHA regulations and compliance requirements; knowledge of local and international safety standards a plus.
Proficiency in English is mandatory; fluency in additional languages is a valuable asset for diverse teams.
Strong technical skills in safety management software and audit tools are essential for effective reporting and analysis.
Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills are crucial to training employees and conducting safety meetings effectively.
High attention to detail and analytical skills to assess risks and implement appropriate safety measures effectively.
Physical fitness and stamina are important, as the role requires regular site visits and the ability to respond to emergencie
